CSU Home > Career Center > Volunteer Opportunities > Arthritis Foundation Arthritis Foundation ![]() Mission Statement:The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to support research to find the cure for and prevention of arthritis and to improve the quality of life for those affected by arthritis. Volunteer Opportunties: Volunteers needed to perform “clerical” duties with computer skills (located off Whitesville Road by Indy’s Restaurant), help in health promotions, perform “hospitality” at events during the year such as our runs and walks and our Distinguished Citizen Dinner in November, “fundraising” for our causes such as Joints in Motion and Kids Camps, “community expos” which are local health fairs where we need people to hand out brochures and answer questions, “support groups and programs” include our local support groups and training programs where we actually train instructors for our exercise classes, and “exercise” volunteers who are people who would actually be trained to teach our PACE (People with Arthritis Can Exercise) classes and then become a teacher in various locations around the city.
