Carver Light Foundation

Introduction:Not-for-profit action organization that is designed to provide a foundation of success for the future graduates of Carver High School.

Mission Statement:To empower students by supplementing and supporting the mission of Carver High School through providing life skill, character, and leadership development training, therefore insuring that all attendees of Carver High School have an opportunity to be productive citizens of Columbus, GA and beyond.

Volunteer Opportunties:- Tiger Walk lecturing series - Tutoring of basic English and Math (held every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month during the school year) - Tutoring for the GA High Graduation Test for Juniors and Seniors - Parenting College (A study in communication, Financial Management, and other valuable life skills every 4th Saturday)

Restrictions:Program starts Fall 2008
