CSU Home > Career Center > Co-op & Internships > General Information General information Internship Program CSU's decentralized Internship Program is facilitated by the Career Center. Each academic department that offers course credit for internships has a faculty coordinator who determines student eligibility for participation, provides academic supervision for participating students, assists each student in registering for the appropriate number of credit hours and assigns each student a grade at the conclusion of the internship. The Career Center generates internship opportunities by contacting employers and responding to employer inquiries. These opportunities are posted in the Career Center for students to review and, in some cases, are forwarded to relevant CSU departments for posting. Cooperative Education (Co-op) Program The purpose of CSU's Cooperative Education Program is to provide students with a well-balanced combination of academic study and periods of professional work experience in a setting related to the student's major and-or career goals. Co-op is not only a way for a student to earn money to pay for college, but it provides practical, on-the-job experience in business, industry or governmental agencies.
